Hitoshi ASADA 2010
Viola 420mm
This viola is characterized by the deep, rich color unique to amber varnish, and its large body size produces a distinctive, full sound. The tailpiece features a Baroque-style inlay pattern, which serves as an accent to the instrument. The top plate is made from rare European spruce with a special tissue structure known as “bear's scratch.” The back plate is one-piece Bosnian maple with a beautiful, deep frame. The varnish contains almost no pigments, and the unique texture created by the layers of amber varnish enhances this viola's mystique.

Viola 405mm
Features a striking contrast between the vibrant red varnish on the surface and the golden color of the base varnish. This viola has been designed based on the Brescian school style; it is easy to play even for smaller musicians, and its higher ribs enable it to produce a resonant sound. Besides keeping the overall length short, the neck length is set up to be similar to a violin, making it easy to switch between the two instruments. The top plate uses European spruce with broad grain patterns suitable for violas, while the back plate uses Bosnian maple with a beautiful frame.

Violin 355mm Baroque style (Period instrument)
Featuring an impressive inlaid pattern decorating its Baroque-style tailpiece, it is structurally designed with the Classical style era in mind. By adopting a classical style, the neck is angled to allow for a more modern setup, making it possible to adapt to a wide range of playing styles, from modern pitch to baroque pitch. Currently set up with a Baroque bridge, a Baroque-style fingerboard, and gut strings (gut for the E and A strings, silver-wound for the D and G strings). The top plate is made of European spruce with a well-balanced grain. In contrast, the back plate is crafted from Bosnian maple with a gentle, elegant frame—the varnish is an antique finish, with the deep amber-based varnish enhancing the violin's texture.
